Books:
"Relative Stille / Relatively Still" by Uwe Wittwer, Édition
Ideal 1999, which is an artists-book consisting solely
of images which have undergone digital treatment by Wittwer,
who is formally a painter, but retains his own painterly style
even in photography and digital image-manipulation. The book
is based on prints done with inkjet onto watercolour paper.

The
book portrays Uwe Wittwer's approach on a city (London in
this particular case) as a vast entity he can never wholly
figure out, regardless it's importance as a source of great
inspiration. It's an approach from the outside, which reveals
the full extent of the melancholy at the heart of this particular
urban space.
